Vid: Latest UT3 teaser trailer
Midway has recently announced that the bloody, brutal, and seminal game formerly known as Unreal Tournament 2007 is now Unreal Tournament 3. And since most of you are probably concerned about multiplayer, here’s some details.
IGN reports that Epic plans to provide advanced online changes that will suit all three platforms (Xbox 360, PS3, PC). Team Deathmatch and CTF (capture the flag) will return and will be joined by the new “Warfare mode” among others. As for PC gamers, the game is reported to come with the Unreal Engine Toolset which should enable those with their fingers on WASD to build their own levels, game types, rules mods, and more.
As fun as it is to read about what’s in the game, here’s the latest preview trailer. It’s got a few clips of the “goop gun” in action, the shock combo taking out 3 people, and what looks to be a boss fight with you using a trusty rocket launcher against a 30 foot tripod. Enjoy the video folks!
Published by Midway Games and developed by the gears at Epic Games, this much awaited FPS hits Europeans retail on June 30, 2007, and is set to be seen on US shelves by the second quarter of 2007.
