Wii are Familii ads evoke murderous intent?

When we think Wii ads, we can’t help but think of family. And for Nintendo’s “Wii are Familii” ads over at the concluded Orlando Electronic Interactive Convention (Otronicon), the same theme runs true…at least we hope it does. Destructoid’s crew just showed off some of the more interesting pics they picked up at the festivities, and while they don’t show anything in way of gore or sexual content, we couldn’t help but think that something didn’t fit:

Was it the cross-hairs, the mischievous smirk on the guy, or the way that Mii‘s bubble was laid right beside two bull’s eyes? Any way we look at it, there’s just something about the connotation here that doesn’t look too friendly. Of course, Wii owners will point out that the posters are probably referencing the Wii Play‘s Target Practice mini-game, which is perfectly true.

The problem? Some folks might get a wrong idea, and start wondering if the Wii truly is as malicious as previous conspiracy theories state. Guys who’ve seen other stranger ads here may want to draw up comparisons for some humorous discussion.
