NoA’s looking for an Assistant… to prez Reggie Fils-Aime
Well, this one’s an interesting find. Nintendo of America is accepting applications for the position of Assistant to the President. Yes, the Prez of Nintendo of America (PONOA), the man himself, Reggie Fils-Aime. It’s going to be a tough job, you know, if you’ve been checking up on him via our news reports. All those interviews and presentations, meetings and briefings, keeping NoA a Wiil-oiled machine and in touch(screen) with the industry and the players. Here’s what they’re looking for in an assistant:
- Eight years related experience
- Broad and comprehensive experience, including a thorough knowledge of the organization, including policies and practices
- Detailed knowledge of organizational operations, procedures, and personnel
- Excellent PC skills including Windows, Word, and Excel
- High level expertise with PowerPoint
- Ability to relay information with tact and diplomacy
- Bilingual in Japanese/English preferred
Somehow, item #2, “thorough knowledge of the organization, including policies and practices”, means that only Nintendo employees need apply. On the other hand, NoA’s using Taleo’s online job search system to accept applications – is it really open to all qualified and available jobseekers or they’re only looking inside the company, and just using Taleo’s online application system for convenience’s sake?
Eh, would it hurt to submit the online application anyway, via this link?… Okay, and why is half of the QJ staff logging on to Taleo right now? Guys?
