Hudson releases patch for Military Madness

Military Madness (image from Wired News) - Image 1Not every VC game will be perfect. That’s a fact. Hudson’s trying really hard to make their VC games as close to it as possible, though. Just recently, the company released a patch for their VC title Military Madness.

Those who downloaded the game, which was made available for download back in December, were dismayed to discover that it suffered from a few emulation issues: sound glitches and skipping would occur in the game’s later, bigger levels when players tried to scroll through the battlefield.

Given the constraints of the Virtual Console, most people thought that it would be hard for Hudson to actually do anything about the emulation bugs. The company pulled through, though, and now those who downloaded Military Madness can update the game by heading to the VC’s Shop page and clicking on the update button.

Apparently, you’ll end up downloading the whole game again, but according to the NeoGAF forums, your saved game progress will be retained after the update. Check it out and leave a comment to tell us if it all works out for you.
