Empire Earth III coming up!
Fans of real-time strategy games, there is cause for much rejoicing as Sierra announced today that Empire Earth III is currently in development and will be available fall of this year. Time to polish those world-domination skills!
PC Gamer‘s preview of EE3 proclaims that this RTS’s third installment is “a little radical”. Says PCG, anything you discover is unlocked for your entire civilization, rather than having to step up the tech tree on each level. Cindy Cook, chief strategy and marketing officer for Vivendi Games says, “Empire Earth III will take the series to the next level with its ability to capture the entire scope of the globe and give it to the hands of the player.”
If you’ve never played EE, (which I doubt), it’s an RTS that allows players to build and rule an empire from the ancient world to the distant future. Other rulers will battle it out with you across the world through the ages – even eons – in a bid for worldwide control. A unique feature of EE3 is that you may keep units from one battle to the next.
Folks, I’m not sure if you did or did not enjoy EE2, but let’s hope this next installation to the EE series is going to be a hit. PCG already declared it “more alive” than the previous titles. We’ll see how you guys will react to this new installation when it comes. What do you think?
