Talent review for Priests another nerf?
World of Warcraft Forums member Phaelan inquires in a post if next major patch for the game would include a talent review of Priests and Pets. He notes that because one of the developers commented that going “deep holy” would be worth it, the upcoming review doesn’t look like a review at all. Phaelan says that it’s starting to look like yet another nerf.
Common sentiment is that the class is dead. Forums member Azango even goes as far as to note that he doesn’t want a talent review, he wants a complete class review, even if it means that they have to remove every spell and ability and rebuild the class from scratch
Blizzard Poster (this means Blizzard employee) Nethaera responds that Blizzard isn’t doing big reviews in World of Warcraft anymore but they are however, adjusting gameplay issues on many levels including adjusting classes.
Nethaera explains that the reason for this policy is so that there isn’t an expectation of massive overhauls to any one class but adjustments and changes a bit at a time for different classes, dungeons, items, etc.
Nethaera goes on to say that this situation is the reason why Blizzard stresses for continued feedback, from everyone, no matter what their class, so that they are aware of what needs to be changed and updated beyond just their own internal testing.
In response to Nethaera’s post forum member Umbrage notes:
Not to sound rude or anything, but I think it’ll take a big adjustment to fix us from what you’ve degraded us to. A little fine tuning won’t get us that far.
