Character Vid: Aedis Eclipse
Pop quiz: Quick, tell us what NIS America is known for? If you answered grid-based Strategy RPGs, with the fervor of a grade-grubbing 10 year-old girl, then you’re probably a fan and you fully understand why the screenshot of Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos above slightly resembles Disgaea.
The game is said to focus on reduced loading times compared to previous SRPG PSP titles, so you’ll be able to spend more time playing and thinking up your next move, and less time waiting for the stage or cut-scene to load.
Story-wise Aedis Eclipse is divided into three worlds: divine, upper, and lower. Each world will have its own main character, and and its own campaign. The difficulty setting of the game will depend on which world you begin on. Starting on the divine world should give you the hardest setting.
This latest installment in the Generation of Chaos series for the PSP is developed by Idea Factory. The NIS-published game is said to be available to you grid-loving PlayStation Portable owners come April this year.
Above are a few thumbnails of character art, and below is a download link to a movie featuring the main characters in the game – just in case you’re a fan of the genre, but you haven’t gotten around to pre-ordering a copy yet.
