GDC 2007: After Burner: Black Falcon dog fighting gameplay
There’s only a few more days of waiting left until After Burner: Black Falcon hits store shelves. With over 30 types of aircraft to choose from and 30 full missions, can you feel the after burn on your calloused thumbs yet? Sorry, but it’s going to take more than just good flight skills and finger-work to shoot for the skies.
While the bootleg video of the GDC demo got some of you wetting your pants (or at least maybe a certain QJ blogger), here’s another one from the dev conference – this time un-bootlegged. Looks a lot better now, doesn’t it? It features the dog fighting gameplay you can expect in a high-in-the-sky action game: blow up planes into scraps of metal, dodge oncoming enemy fire, and while you’re at it, string all the nifty combos you want.
Update: Just a few screenshots from a recent post-GDC press release.
