Pokemon Diamond and Pearl versions – new screenshots

Manaphy - Image 1Can’t get enough of the cute little Pokemon? As the release for North America gets ever so close, we wonder whether Game Freak’s Pokemon Pearl version and Diamond version get the same welcome here. We have some screenshots of the games today (maybe to tide you over until release).

Of course, you’re a Pokemon trainer dreaming of becoming a Pokemon Master by being the Pokemon League Champion. To get there, you’ve got to travel around and catch ’em all. Oh-kaaay, so not really all of them – they are nearing the 500 species mark – just enough to get you to meet Manaphy. It’s the new character in the game , a mysterious water-type pokemon who reportedly has the power to use Heart Swap. Basically, Manaphy can swap its status with the opponent.

The fact that Manaphy’s stats are balanced like the elusive Mew makes it more challenging. Anyway, PokemonPearl version and Diamond version will hit the shelves April 22. Enough babble form us, you can check out the screenshots and let us know what you think.
