WoW: Enigmatic Skyfire Diamond not working
Jewelcrafting has its advantages, with socketing items and getting bonuses and such but it seems that it also has a downside of well, not working. Renara over at the World of Warcraft forums noticed that the effects of the Enigmatic Skyfire Diamond slotted on her helm wasn’t working.
The Enigmatic Skyfire Diamond is a meta gem that of course only fits into the meta socket. It grants +12 Critical Strike rating and 5% Snare and Root Resist. It has a condition to get the bonuses – have more red gems than yellow gems socketed. Plus, it’s pretty expensive, Auction House prices range from around 150 gold up (that’s if you’re lucky). Blizzard guy Tseric answered the concern, “The Enigmatic Skyfire gem is known as not offering it’s proper bonus when the conditions are met. There is a fix for this going into the upcoming content patch.”
Maybe you should hold off socketing it first until you get the bug gets fixed or until you get a better helm. Until then, it’s still gold coins down the drain.
