In fact, as PSPSPS blogger Kat had figured, a good day to start would be around two days prior to the launch.

But over at Virgin’s Megastore at Oxford Street, all she had found were no more than three people lined up with 30 hours left in the countdown. Welcome to London‘s PlayStation 3 fever, people. Ritatsu Thomas was the first in line for his order of the PlayStation 3.

While nothing as close to Europe‘s big bash when The Burning Crusade scorched Big Ben, you can’t blame them for the lackluster filing of fans. There have been reports that some independent stores, especially those in Italy, that have already been selling their share of the PlayStation 3 launch stock way ahead of the UK street release date.

So while those wanting to make a splash at the main event this midnight have to trudge through a human domino file, others would have opted for the easy way out by taking one home hours earlier. But it’s a hope the turn out would be a huge smash, as Sony isn’t one to kick publicity out the back door.
