Details and video of the rumored 360 Spring Update

A couple of days ago, we had a report about the rumors surrounding the next Spring Update for the Xbox 360. Admittedly, the report wasn’t juicy enough, with just a mention of a “simple” dash feature that is supposed to have already been included ever since launch. The report originally came from Major Nelson and being the authority that he is, we reckoned that the rumors must be true.

Anyway, we got hold of the features that will be included this Spring. According to the source, this information and video clip was taken from GameSpot, but was removed immediately. Below is the list of the features that are supposedly on its way, and after that is a video clip showing them in action.

Rumored Xbox 360 Spring Update features:

• To be released on May 7th.
• Add up to 600 Windows Live Messenger contacts to your Friends List.
• Text chat with up to 6 Live Messenger contacts at once during games or movies.
• The Marketplace will be getting its own Dashboard Blade.
• The Marketplace will be skinned independently of the Dashboard, for special events.
• The Marketplace will be getting a new, easier-to-navigate remake.
• Achievement Pop-ups will now display how many points and which Achievement you have gained.
• Low-power downloading (fans off) and auto-off after finishing queued downloads.
• View partially downloaded video files.
