From God of War to Calling All Cars, haven’t you wondered how David Jaffe jumped ship from something so epically mature to another game considered by some to be “a great party game”? Well, it’s not about the graphics or the overall gameplay, really. But for Jaffe, he wanted to focus more on possible new feelings – emotions, in other words – one would get while they’re playing something that’s “different.” This is what Jaffe replied in an interview with Spike TV‘s Geoff Keighley for Episode 4 (Part 2 of 5) of the Bonus Round.

The interview centers on the risks Jaffe took in developing this sort of game and following this kind of track, instead of trying to create a “tried-and-tested” Twisted Metal-ish game for the PlayStation Network. Tongue-in-cheek, Jaffe also discusses what working on God of War was like, and how it compared to his overall insight of game development in general.
