Brazil TAM airline lands on Second Life
NASA may be looking for volunteers in Second Life and Lacoste is hosting a Second Life fashion contest. Just when you thought that Second Life can’t get any more crowded than it already is, we now report that Brazil TAM airline will be promoting itself in SL by offering cyberspace flights that would correspond to its real world international service.
TAM said last Thursday that it will offer avatars gifts to take virtual TAM flights to Second Life islands such as Milan, Paris, New York and England. But, Second Lifers could fly, right? Oh well, weirder things had happened before. A company spokesman clarified this by saying:
Of course, avatars can fly there on their own, or we can take them there, free of charge, for which they get frequent flier points and gifts like a virtual aircraft or clothes
But onto business, a TAM lounge would be placed on Second Life’s Berrin Island. Avatars would then be greeted by a virtual pilot and a flight attendant.
