Pearl Jam, Sony headline Lollapolooza 07
At last month’s tail-end, we reported that Sony will make an appearance in the multi-genre festival Lollapalooza 2007 to promote its products. We’ve got an update on who will provide the entertainment and what’s in store for fans of the electronics giant.
Headlining the performers in the event is rock stalwarts Pearl Jam. The American rock band has been around for some time, and their ability to electrify events is a legend in the business. Joining them is Daft Punk, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, The Roots, Stephen Marley and Amy Winehouse. All the artists are looking to set the festive atmosphere for this big event.
Of course, Sony’s bringing its own fireworks. The PlayStation 2, The PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable will all be there to showcase current and upcoming releases for each of the platforms. We can expect a lot of exciting new titles and maybe even a few new accessories from the Sony camp.
The event is slated for August 3 to 5 on Grant Park in Chicago. Ticket and event information is available at Lollapalooza.com.
