Someone slipped: Titans QB Vince Young is Madden NFL 08 cover boy?
If that’s true, if the “source with knowledge of the situation” that tipped this off to the Nashville City Paper really has knowledge of the situation, then Chargers fans’ prayers have been answered. This “source with knowledge of the situation” says that it’s going to be Vince Young, quarterback to the Tennessee Titans, that will grace the cover of EA Sports‘ Madden NFL ’08.
(And probably receive a visit from the ghost of Christmas past – er, the Madden curse. Well, knock on wood, maybe not this year?)
Now, we’re still treating this as a rumor, even if the source is a newspaper. The City Paper did try to hit EA for a comment, but were “unsuccessful.” The game plan was that Jimmy Kimmel would have the honors of introducing the Madden NFL cover boy – so we’re guessing that if this info is accurate, like the title said, “someone slipped.” A careless audible whisper here or there, maybe.
