Mod tutorial: PSP Sound mod guide
A few days ago, modder F00 f00 wowed the PSP community with Lifey’s heavily customized PSP. Among other features this PSP carried – one that definitely grabbed attention – were the sound-reactive LEDs, which blinked in rhythm to whatever tunes the unit was carrying (or playing).
As a further follow-up to this wicked mod set, F00 f00 dropped us a line earlier to let us know that the AcidMods site has just been updated with a complete guide to making the PSP mod.
The tutorial carries wire diagrams, parts requirements, and a step-by-step guide to getting working. One important detail we make mention here is that this mod setup will now work for the PSP’s internal speakers – its previous version was only capable of handling external speakers.
The full tutorial awaits at the read link – just be warned that this mod will require high levels of soldering and PSP assembly/disassembly proficiency. Kudos also goes to CybertPyrot, who helped F00 F00 through this project.
