Spruce up your next-gen console with Colorware
There are some who are content with the appearance of their stock PlayStation 3s, Xbox 360s and Wiis, but those who aren’t have two options: mod it yourself or send it into one of the many companies which mod the systems. If you don’t have time for the first option, Colorware offers just the service you need.
The company offers a lot of options for those who really want their systems spruced up. You can send in your consoles, and for US$ 99 they will color your system according to your specifications. If you don’t have a console yet, you can purchase one from them, pre-colored and in the manufacturer’s original packaging. Their services are not limited to coloring your systems, as they also color up to four controllers to match your system.
According to their site, purchasing a colored console would set you back a few extra hundred dollars or so, as compared to buying the plain, old versions:
- PS3: US$ 725
- Xbox 360: US$ 525
- Wii: US$ 325 (currently out of stock, go figure!)
So, if you’re planning on having your system colored, then maybe you should check out their website via our Read link. If you think you need to see more, check out some of the screenshots we have of the systems they’ve done. One thing you have to remember though, if you plan on either ordering a console or shipping yours in for coloring, it takes eight to ten working days to get it back- an eternity for someone like me who hasn’t been away from a console for more that 24 hours.
