VC titles to be released in Japan this May
From experience, most Virtual Console (VC) video game titles appear in Japan first, before they do in other markets. The other day was kind of an exception as Hudson Soft together with Nintendo of America (NoA) announced four new TurboGrafx-16 titles available for download.
Anyway, we were able to get hold of the tentative list of new VC titles for Japan to be ready this May. We say “tentative” because their prices are yet to be determined and only three have actually been dated. Here’s the list, as arranged according to their console of origin:
Famicom- Exerion (Jaleco) – May 1
- Super Mario Bros. 2 (Nintendo) – May 1
- Tsuppari Oozumo (Tecmo)
- Challenger (Hudson)
- Nintendo 64
- F-Zero X (Nintendo)
- Mega Drive
- Bare Knuckle II [Streets of Rage II] (Sega)
- Chameleon Kid (Sega)
- Shining and the Darkness (Sega)
- Hybrid Front (Sega)
- PC Engine
- Neutopia (Hudson) – May 1
- The Last Ninja [Ninja Spirit] (Irem)
- Out Live (Sunsoft)
- Sengoku Mahjong (Hudson)
- Bravoman (Namco Bandai)
- Bonk 3 (Hudson)
- Battle Lode Runner (Hudson)
- Air Zonk (Hudson) – delayed from April into May
