Ultimate Duck Hunting – more info and the packshot
Earlier, we gave you a sneak peek into the world of Wii hunting with Ultimate Duck Hunting screenshots. Now we’ve got the more details regarding the video game title and the packshot as well.
Detn8 Games Ltd and Mid Carolina Media’s upcoming title for the Wii console features a hunting simulation which includes shooting and retrieving game, as well as a host of other features. Players can choose their Labrador retrievers as they come in yellow, chocolate, and black. Players can also train their dogs to respond to commands, otherwise known as player gestures on the Wiimote. The hunters’ virtual arsenal includes name-brand guns, decoys, and traps.
Ultimate Duck Hunting features six locations: Stuttgart (Arkansas), Oacoma (South Dakota), Oak Island (Minnesota), Old Harbor (Alaska), Coldwater (Mississippi), and Halifax (Virginia).
According to Jeff Hill, vice president at Detn8 Games,
The Wii Remote plays a major role in Ultimate Duck Hunting. Obviously, it’s the perfect device for aim-and-shoot – and commanding your dog with Wii Remote motion adds to the immersion in the simulation.
There are four gameplay modes in Ultimate Duck Hunting:
- Single Hunt – points are earned by the shooting a required number of ducks
- Career Mode – allows players to create their own hunter and dog, improve the dogs by accumulating points, and hunt over a number of seasons.
- Multiplayer Mode – features head-to-head competition between two players on a split screen.
- Training Mode – a train-your-dog mini game
Anyway, Ultimate Duck Hunting for the Wii certainly has two things to be happy about – no mosquito bites from the great outdoors and happier ducks with less casualties. Better set up your decoys, bust out your duck calls, and don the camouflage because hunting season opens this July.
