David Hayter won’t be part of MGS movie

The good news is it looks like the Metal Gear Solid movie is still a go. The bad news is that David Hayter won’t be involved with the project.

According to IGN, the man who gave Solid Snake a voice will not be a part of the film. Hayter reportedly pitched his take on the Metal Gear Solid movie project to Konami but the company “opted not to hire him to script and/or produce it”.

Konami also reportedly passed on a Hayter-penned big-screen treatment, which according to an insider was kind of like Metal Gear Solid meets “Apocalypse Now” with Snake in the middle of a “swirling whirlpool of Genomic/military madness”.
