Halo 3 will get graphical improvements says O’Connor
Many have complained about Halo 3‘s lackluster graphics as shown during the beta. It’s far from terrible, but nothing that would put players into gaming high. Frank O’Connor remains positive, saying “Well to be honest, we’ve seen them [the graphics] praised too.”
Performance over aesthetics, says O’Connor. That isn’t to say Halo 3 would look dated; they’re pushing Xbox 360 to the limit in order to deliver a smooth multi-player experience. To make up for it, O’Connor believes that the single player mode would bring out the eye-candy and show what next-gen graphics are all about.
From his words, it’s very feasible that single player will be more extensive this time around. “I think it’s safe to say there will be lots of visual surprises in Campaign and a few nifty graphical improvements in multiplayer.” Nifty improvements? Let’s just hope this is more than brighter vehicles and flashier weapon effects. After all, Halo 3 is supposed to bring Microsoft’s gaming division some dough.
