*UPDATE* ReglePSP
Xtreamlua; behind ReglePSP project”>Poison_xtreamlua dropped by our PSP development forums to inform us of his team’s (Xtreamlua) project – ReglePSP. Now don’t expect this to be one of your average PSP homebrew as this one’s specifically made to aid PSP developers in coding games/applications/emulators for us.
Poison claims that ReglePSP is a “homebrew that allow you to move a pixel, picture, background on the screen of you PSP and to show the coordinates (x and y)” adding that the application’s “aim is to make programmation (about picture) easier for developers”.
We gave this application a go and found out that it is indeed quite a useful tool specially for coders looking into making an entirely new homebrew for PSP. I suppose some of you can actually use it in making the basic foundations of your game/application, but I’m betting most of us will have better use for it on GUIs and welcome menus.
Download’s below and you’re all free to give it a tweak. The good guys from Xtreamlua also made the source code available so you guys can take a peek at all the coding that’s been done on this application. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to host the file here but you can visit the PSP development forum thread below to gain access to it. Have fun!
UPDATE: How fast does the team xtreamlua work? Very, very fast. They’ve provided another update on their ReglePSP application and added a Linux version. This nifty application can help you find your coordinates for easier the faster development of homebrew games, emulators, and what-not.

More details on the application’s controls along with some navigational tips await after the jump!
Poison_xtreamlua, a member of Xtreamlua, dropped by our PSP development forums to inform us of his team’s project – ReglePSP. Now don’t expect this to be one of your average PSP homebrew as this one’s specifically made to aid PSP developers in coding games/applications/emulators for us.

Anyway, here are some more details on the application’s controls along with some navigational tips. The guy’s French so give his English a break ok?
Controls:
- Up/Down/Left/right : Move the picture (or pixel, or background).
- Joystick : Move the coordinates bill posting.
- L : Take a screenshot.
- R (pressed) : Speed up (and print the transparency on screen).
- Select : To change picture/background.
- Start : To change mode (“background mode” to move the background or “picture mode” to move picture.
- Square : Set/Modify the transparency value.
- Triangle : To change pixel color (only if there is no picture nammed “monimage.png” in ../img/ folder).
How to use it ? (version 4) :
- The homebrew allow you to know where is drawing the picture. So, we have a picture and a background. You have the choice between moving picture or moving background.
- You can put your own background and picture, to do it put your background and picture in the ../Regle/img/ folder, you have to named your backgrounds to “backgrond.png” and your picture to “monimage.png”.
- You can stock until 4 backgrounds (that you have to named : “backgrond.png” , “backgrond2.png” , “backgrond3.png” , “backgrond4.png”) and until 4 pictures (that you have to named : “monimage.png” , “monimage2.png” , “monimage3.png” , “monimage4.png”).
- in default there are a background and a picture (the man with the cap, who is the singer from red hot chili peppers ^^) but you can change them, of course.
- If you don’t put picture a pixel (that you’ll move) will be made.
- START button allow to change between the background control and the pictur control.
- SELECT button allow you to change picture each other(ex : change the picture “monimage.png” to “monimage2.png” then “monimage.png” disappear and “monimage2.png” appear).
