Halo 3 site emerges – welcome to Server 05

Not too long after Halo 3‘s ancient gimmick, the guys over at Bungie Studios are rolling up their sleeves again to try their hand at another viral marketing attempt. We’ve found a site called Server 05, and it’s got Halo plastered all over the place.

Of course, we’re being kept in the dark as much as possible. Only through paying attention can someone find anything out of that strange, spinning object. We’ve found a few secrets, including a video about the ancients’ disappearance, but let’s not spoil any further. Here’s a teaser though, a file says:

KNOW THAT ENERGETIC AND TENACIOUS AS LIFE IS
IT HAS AN ANTITHESIS JUST AS POWERFUL
IT IS THAT THING THAT WE MUST OBLITERATE

Props to people who can make anything out of that.

Given that Halo 3 is expected to drive sales and finally give Microsoft some profit, we’ll most likely see more of these in the future. Keep watching this space; we’ll keep you posted.
