Incoming: PSP Firmware update 3.51 to fix security issues
Steel your hearts, members of the PSP community. We’ve picked up word of the PSP’s FW 3.51 being released over at Japan’s PlayStation site. The single item this update carries appears to be a fix for what Sony has described (in Babelfish) as a “vulnerability of security.”
We’re not too sure just what vulnerability the company has in mind, although it’s very ominous that this updates comes in just days after Noobz team announced their Illuminati exploit, and followed up with a FW 3.50 downgrader soon after.
As we said earlier, we advise the guys to keep their cool until more details can be verified, probably when FW 3.51 hits stateside.
Our thanks go to Naroon-X and Andy1337 for informing of this major PSP update news.
