Take a look at The Club’s locations, they aren’t tree houses

Earlier, we talked about two of the players we’ll be seeing in the upcoming video game, The Club. Now, we’ve got some info on a couple of places The Club holds their “activities”.

Let’s visit the Steel Mill first. As all game cliches go, the bad guys see to favor the abandoned steel mill or warehouse as a place to conduct their illegal activities – in this case, The Club’s blood-sport. The steel mill in question is located in an industrial town called Jaegerhof, in East Germany. The town has basically become bleak and poor since the steel mill closed down. Imagine people’s surprise when news reached them that somebody had bought the dilapidated mill.

As the mystery of strangers and their comings and goings to the steel mill grew, speculation and rumors arose that Hollywood movie producers had taken over the mill to shoot a film. The townspeople hoped to get jobs in the “production” but the producers (who were obviously setting up the mill with the equipment they bring in) didn’t hire any of the locals. “Movie studio guards” were littered around the Steel Mill and prevented anyone from getting too close. Later, the locals assumed that the big-shot producers were making an action movie as “fake” gunfire could be heard from the place.

Next on this tour is a place called The Citadel. It was formerly a federal penitentiary called Newhaven Federal Penitentiary, with an Alcatraz-like reputation. It housed the most notorious criminals and gangsters – and brutal wardens as well. A huge riot in the prison caused the death of a good number of prisoners and staff (who were taken hostage by the prisoners). After the tragedy, the prison was closed down following a Congressional investigation. The town near The Citadel, also called Newhaven, died when their primary source of income (read: the prison) closed.

A corporation came along and bought the old prison from the federal government. The corporation indicated that it will be building a research facility for the alternative energy sources. Nobody really cared much. Oh, and did we mention that the said corporation is owned by a member of The Club?

Anyway, that’s it for now guys. We’ll be bringing you more on Bizarre CreationsThe Club (PlayStation3, Xbox 360, and PC) when they become available. In the meantime, check out the screens and art we have for the first location, the Steel Mill.

The Steel Mill screenshots and artwork come right after the jump!
