E3: Details and screens of Spielberg’s Project PQRS
Just before E3 began, we learned that Steven Spielberg is collaborating with Electronic Arts to come up with at least three new products. The first one, codenamed LMNO, is supposed to come out on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The other one, referred to as PQRS, is being planned for the Nintendo Wii.
Now, Project PQRS was semi-revealed during the recent Electronic Arts E3 Conference, with Spielberg himself giving a demo of the title. While the actual name of the video game wasn’t revealed as well as its release date, the following features were provided by EA while a couple of screenshots were taken by G4TV during the said demo.
Project PQRS features:
- The game will be centered around moving and building blocks and is influenced by games like Tetris and the infamous board game Jenga.
- The blocks interact with each other based on a real physics model.
- There are 20 different block types.
- Co-Op play will be available.
- Players can create character that interact with the blocks in one of four different themes: Westers, Haunted House, Tiki, and Medieval.
- The game will give the chance for a lot of user generated content by providing an editor which will allow you to make your own blocks and block set-ups.
“I am truly enjoying the creative collaboration and we hope that gamers will be as excited as we are about what we can bring to the medium through our shared vision,” mentioned Spielberg.
