SCEE’s David Reeves: Europe getting 120GB PS3s?

Sony PlayStation 3 - Image 1Okay, so Europe isn’t getting the 80GB PlayStation 3, but how about something beefier? A recent interview between Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) boss David Reeves and Norway‘s Dagbladet website delves further into the company’s decision not to bring the 80GB PS3 into Europe’s territory.

As Mr. Reeves stated, “The difference between 60 and 80GB is very small, we just feel that going up 20GB is not worth it.” But while Europe isn’t getting those extra 20 gigs of memory on their units Reeves, further hinted at another possibility.

“If you go to double it, it’s worth it. So maybe you’ll see something a little bit later,” he said.

A 120GB PlayStation 3 in the works, outside disagreeably expensive workarounds? We’re not sure if this is what the SCEE boss has in mind, although that’s certainly plenty of space for movie, games, and other possible items that might be popping up. That’s all the info we’ve got for the moment, although you’re welcome to stick round in case we update.
