Omega Sektor: Exclusive FFXI section for Birmingham centre
The UK chapter of Square Enix‘s Final Fantasy XI MMORPG will have something new to look forward, in the form of a new gaming venue. Omega Sektor has just announced that Square Enix has signed on as one of the center’s premium publishers.
For players in the UK, this means that Omega Sektor’s soon-to-open Birmingham centre will feature an area dedicated just for FF XI. This section will be located on the first floor, and will feature 36 PCs running your favorite MMORPG – also expect the surrounding area’s theme to be designed to match the game’s ambiance. As Adrian Le Mans, sales and marketing director for Omega Sektor said:
Final Fantasy is one of the biggest names in gaming and itÂ’s a big attraction for us to have its first online game at the centre. We look forward to working with Square Enix on the launch of the centre and the Final Fantasy area.
Omega Sektor’s Birmingham centre is expected to open this summer of 2007. Aside from FF XI, the centre is expected to carry a total of 400 PCs for visiting gamers, with over 500 playable games in its library. Chalk this up with the earlier announced FF XI Festival, and the upcoming Wings of the Goddess patch, and it is indeed going to be a happy year for the players.
