Old Xbox 360 sold as new in Best Buy?
We all have moments when something really good turns out bad. Same can be said with a poster on The Consumerist Forums going by the name stevojd, claiming that the “new” Xbox 360 he bought from Best Buy was manufactured almost a year and a half ago.
The disappointed Xbox 360 owner didn’t get the box earlier in fear of the red lights. After years of waiting, thinking that he’ll be able to get a unit that doesn’t die this time, he finally grabbed a Premium with Top Spin 2 at full price. To his dismay, the “new” machine got out of the factories last March 24, 2006.
Taking a closer look at his post, it seems that he’s mistaken Top Spin 2 as a new game and expected the entire bundle to be fresh. In all fairness, the title is almost as old as the 360. Our condolences still go to our fellow gamer who simply wanted a red ring-free version of Microsoft‘s machine.
