Digimon World Dawn/Dusk now gold, set for September 18 release
Here’s something for all those digilovers out there: Namco Bandai just announced that three new Digimon World games have gone gold and are ready to hit the shelves this September 18 in the US.
Digimon World Data Squad will be available on the good ‘ol PS2, while the Digimon World Dawn/Dusk tandem will grace the DS.
Following the tradition of Digimon World games, these three will be RPGs at heart. Data Squad will pit players against the “Seven Demon Kings” with over 140 Digimon to choose from. Your goal is to save kidnapped children from the hands of evil.
Digimon World Dawn and Digimon World Dusk are set in the same world and storyline, but aspiring Digimon trainers will be able to play as either of the two rival groups trying to find the villain who devolves Digimon into digi-eggs. Much like Pokemon Pearl/Diamond, available Digimon will differ between the two versions. Nintendo Wi-fi will allow players to battle, as well as trade monsters if they want to collect all 400 Digimon.
