Square Enix recently held a celebration for the 10th anniversary of its monumental Final Fantasy VII series and there were a lot of sights to behold indeed. There was, however, one statement that stirred up our collective insights and it came from SCE President Kaz Hirai.
In a note to Square Enix, he wrote, “Congratulations on 10 fantastic years! The best is yet to come.”
Was he talking about the upcoming Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII or perhaps a remake? We know that in the last Square Enix Party, fans were asked which game they wanted a remake of and FFVII was an overwhelming favorite. Is the statement meant to provoke our imaginations or is it a general statement? We’ll find out soon enough.
