Sony rising: Wii outsells PS3 3-to-1 in Japan
We’ve just reported recently that Sony‘s PS3 seems to be throttling upwards in a good streak, and it looks like the trend is becoming more and more consistent.
According to Bloomberg, the PS3 is about to catch up with the Nintendo Wii’s sales numbers: Wii is now outselling the PS3 at only three-to-one. That’s a great jump from the previous six-to-one ratio a few months ago.
Japanese research firm Enterbrain has reported 245,653 Wii units sold compared to Sony PS3’s sales number of 81,541 in a span of four weeks ending in August 26.
The streak also shows in the two gaming mogul’s stocks in Japan‘s stock exchange: Nintendo’s shares fell 1.7 percent to JPÂ¥ 52,000, while Sony gained 0.4 percent to JPÂ¥ 5,600.
