Super Smash Bros. Brawl character update: Ice Climbers
Thanks to a tip-off from reader JustinJRB (kudos, dude!), we’ve picked up word that another character’s been added to Super Smash Bros. Brawl‘s growing compendium of competitors. This new addition is none other than the Ice Climbers, whom some of you may remember from Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube.
And true to the nature of their days on their NES platform game (available via Virtual Console), Popo (the one in blue) and Nana (the one in pink) will be carrying their trademark mallets for the action to come (Minus the polar bear and carrots).
And given they’re pretty short (even compared to Pikachu), the Ice Climber duo will be played as a pair. Expect Nana to watch your six, and to provide – based on the screenshots – some well-timed assists for combos. Check back in case more updates are announced for Nintendo‘s Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.
