There’s nothing quite like a well-planned ambush going exactly the way you planned it, and it’s in this Metal Gear Online gameplay video direct from TGS 2007 that we see one executed to near perfection. Poetry in motion indeed, with the enemies taken care of and nary a scratch on any of your team members. Awesome.
Looking at the video, it’s safe to say that Metal Gear Online‘s got the team gameplay aspect of the squad-based shooter down pat, and we can’t help but feel giddy at the VR-like displays that pop up seamlessly during the action. For example, the profile of your teammates are highlighted with small blue pixels, while any hostiles in the current vicinity is highlighted with orange ones.
There’s also the neat aspect of the HUD tracking just where your comrades are aiming, and where their shots will end up in. Very cool.
