Patapon gets Japanese release date
Not much is known about Patapon, the quirky new PlayStation Portable title from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ). Gamers won’t have to wait too long to learn more about this game though as SCEJ has finally given it an official Japanese release date.
In looks, Patapon is similar to Loco Roco. In terms of gameplay, it’s like a rhythm-based title. Based on what we’ve seen in the game’s various screenshots and videos, players control the cyclopean Patapons by pressing buttons and creating a rhythm, guiding them as they move from village to village.
This quirky little side-scroller will hit Japanese retail stores on December 20 and will be available for 4,980 yen (US$ 43). Importers, mark your calendars.
