It’s been reported earlier that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group is acquiring TT Games, the studio behind the highly successful Lego video games. Guess for how much though? A whopping GBP 100 million (US$ 206 million) over five years.
Jon Burton, founder of Traveller’s Tales, admits to dedicating most of his free time “geeking” away and writing video games. At the beginning, his games were rejected. Eventually he started his own studio and now his company has offices in Ireland and Serbia with a staff of 200. (He’s an inspiration!)
Warner Bros. acquired the company to expand its business into video games saying that TT Games is a “great fit.” Here’s hoping they decide to do a Lego Justice League. (Imagine Lego Superman tearing through Lego baddies. Oh the plastic mayhem.)
