A lot of games have put players in the role of evildoers and anti-heroes in the modern age of gaming, but very few if any at all have put us in the shoes of an evil master’s henchman. That’s the scenario that the International Game Group (I2G) and Legacy Interactive want to explore in their upcoming game called Igor.
Igor will be an action-puzzle hybrid based on Exodus Films movie of the same name which is currently under production. I2G and Exodus announced the deal which will send a game spin-off on its way to the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PC platforms.
“The incredibly rich world and characters the film offers are well suited to the action puzzler genre,” said Ariella Lehrer, Legacy Interactive’s CEO. “I think this is a game that will have crossover appeal among casual and more core strategy gamers alike.”
Igor is set in a world where mad scientists dominate the world with their evil plots and insane inventions. Your goal is to take lab assistant Igor from common hunchback status to a downright diabolical mad scientist himself.
A release is planned for the next calendar year on all three platforms. Let’s wait and see what this one has to offer.
