Wishing for that LittleBigPlanet demo Sony promised to give away this fall 2007? Don’t count on it, says Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) PR senior manager Ron Eagle. Developer Media Molecule‘s adorable side-scroller for the Sony PlayStation 3 is still scheduled for release this 2008, but the demo is nowhere in sight.
“I can officially confirm that there won’t be a demo this year,” Eagle told MTV Multiplayer. Sony’s man said he was able to get his hands on 30 of 50 levels made by developers and had fun, but the demo won’t be ready until next month at least.
When analysts start calling a game a “console mover,” it’s not difficult to imagine how much effort devs are putting into LittleBigPlanet. Our eyes are peeled for any announcements of the demo, so watch this space for updates!
