There are two new developments in the world of Neverwinter Nights 2 today. The first is the release of a hotfix for patch 1.11, which should fix some issues currently seen in-game as a result of patch 1.11. The second has to do with Neverwinter Nights 2 being regarded as a virus by Grisoft’s AVG Antivirus program, which is apparently a false positive report.
First off, NWN 2 players may want to update their games, as Obsidian Entertainment has released a hotfix that resolves the following issues seen in the game:
- Changes the mace to a light weapon instead of medium.
- Removes Incomplete spells.
- Skill descriptions will be visible on the character screen.
Second, folks have been picking up reports from AVG antivirus program saying that they’ve been infected with the Obfustat.ADAN virus. According to the official forums, Neverwinter Nights 2 is being regarded by the antivirus program as a false positive. AVG has reportedly updated their virus definitions in light of this, so you may want to update your AVG software as well, if you’re using it.
