Waiting for more news about Konami‘s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots? Well, you’ve come to the right place because we’ve got some news that might interest you.
Over on NeoGAF, Ryan Payton, Assistant Producer for MGS4, shared a few details about the game including the difficulty of releasing a demo as well as the potential for a Collector’s Edition of the title.
Payton pointed out that demo for the game would be unlikely. Why? In a nutshell, he said that the game has changed a lot since people have seen it in the Tokyo Game Show and E for All. It would be difficult for them (the developers) to create a new demo.
On the bright side however, he did hint about the possible release of a MGS4 Collector’s Edition. Of course there are still a few hurdles they have to cross to do so, but we’ll let Payton explain that to you guys:
On a brighter note, weÂ’re working really hard to solidify plans for a limited edition SKU. Coordinating our ideas with Konami JP, US, and EU is a big challenge, considering the simultaneous worldwide launch, strict retail rules on packaging, etc.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is expected to be out by the second quarter of next year. Hopefully, Payton and the rest of the people behind the game can actually work out a way to release a collector’s edition of the game for all the MGS fans out there.
