After numerous rumors whether or not the long-standing PlayStation-exclusive title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is going multi-platform, here’s another log to throw into the proverbial fire. Freeze, a writer for XboxFamily, mentioned getting actual confirmation from a Konami distribution representative that MGS4 will be coming to the Xbox 360.
While the rep’s name was undisclosed, it was supposedly confirmed that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4 is currently in development for the Xbox 360. The rep also stated that the game will be released for the Xbox 360 between 12 to 14 months after the PS3 version hits shelves.
After trying to confirm this with Microsoft‘s John Porcaro, Freeze was merely rebuffed with the standard “no comment” reply from Microsoft’s PR team member. While this may spell big things for the normally console-exclusive title if this is true, we’ll just have to wait and see if anything new turns up to confirm these rumors.
