It was only less than three months ago when Electronic Arts announced that it will acquire VG Holding Corp., the parent company of BioWare and Pandemic Studios. Now EA has just announced that the acquisition is complete.
What does it mean for us gamers, you ask? Well for one thing, EA now has the licenses to BioWare and Pandemic’s games, like Baldur’s Gate, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, Star Wars Battlefront, and Destroy All Humans.
One of the things we might be seeing in the future is for these games to go multiplatform, which EA games are inclined to do. This theory has already been hoped to be true for the sequel to the Xbox 360 game, Jade Empire.
All in all, EA has acquired six intellectual properties from the acquisition, totaling to ten franchises. So what’s in store for these games? Check back for updates.
