Oneechanbara R Japanese trailer
Looking for some slash-em-up action that’s decidedly stylish and gory at the same time? D3Publisher‘s got your back with Oneechanbara R for the Wii, and in this latest trailer video of the game, we get an eyeful of the controls, as well as the new characters gracing the scene. Head on over to the full article for full ocular stimulation.
From its humble beginnings as a budget title to a fully-fledged retail classic, the Oneechanbara series has certainly made waves with its own niche market in the videogaming industry. After all, who else can find scantily-clad girls cutting up zombies with sharp metal objects? And it’s here in the latest Japanese trailer of Oneechanbara R for the Nintendo Wii that we get a Wii-flavored dose of such insanity, as well as get clued on the game’s control scheme. Motion-sensing swordplay? Yes, please!
Looking at the video, it seems that the guys over at D3Publisher are taking a cue from recent swordfighting games on the Wii, with a horizontal motion of the wiimote performing an horizontal slash, and a vertical motion resulting in a vertical slash. What’s different this time around is that the motion is quickly replicated – and it doesn’t take much of a motion to pull off combos. This is a good thing, since more sensitive controls would mean less wrist cramps this time around.
