IGG previews Angels Online combat system

Character classes are a staple of any MMORPG, and the five which comprise the combat system in Angels Online have their unique repertoire of talents to bring to the table. This time around, IGG takes a closer look at what Angels Online players can do with the different character classes at their disposal. More “classy” information follows after the jump!

Last time, Internet Gaming Gate (IGG) previewed the production system of Angels Online and the various artisan skills it encompassed. This time, IGG takes a more in-depth look at the combat system of the game all the character classes associated with it.

According to IGG, the five combat character classes in Angels Online are as follows:

• Protector –  the resident tank and defensively-inclined melee fighter
• Warrior – the high-damage polar opposite of the Protector
• Spearman – a fighter with better range than the other melee classes
• Swordsman – a fencer who focuses more on speed and agility
• Archer – combines speed with ranged attacks

As with the craftsmen of the Angels Online production system, the various combat-oriented classes share certain skills between themselves, notably the reserve and the finesse skills. IGG has also mentioned that close combat skills will become critically important in future territory battles.
