Capcom: Difference in PAL prices of DMC 4 builds due to our business model
The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Devil May Cry 4 (also on PC) will not be priced the same in some PAL regions. When asked about the matter, Capcom said that this is because of a certain business model they are allowed to use in the said territories.

If you look at several North American online retail stores, you will notice that pre-order prices for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Devil May Cry 4 (also on PC) are the same. Even the collector’s edition copies carry similar prices.
However, this isn’t the case in some PAL regions. In Netherlands, for example, it was revealed that the PS3 build of the game will be priced for 39.99 GBP or roughly around US$ 79.47. The Xbox 360 version, on the other hand, just costs 29.99 GBP (US$ 59.58).
This difference in prices is what prompted German site PS3 Only to contact Capcom for an explanation. A representative of the company gave the following response:
I didn’t realize we were the only publisher doing this. In actuality, it’s not that the PS3 version has been made more expensive, but that our business model has allowed us to discount the Xbox 360 version.
It is curious that after being pressed to further explain the said business model, the spokesperson refused to give out any more information.
