SAW movie series to get its own videogame in 2009
It looks like we’re finally going to be getting the videogame our parents prayed we’d never get to see. At a recent Brash Entertainment press event, the company announced that a game based on the SAW movie franchise is currently in development.
Creepier still? The news was delivered by the Jigsaw puppet of the movie series, who also managed to make fun of the press as well. More on this after the jump!
Parents, hide your children. The Jigsaw killer is making his way to video game consoles. That’s right: Brash Entertainment LLC has officially announced development of a videogame based on the “SAW” movie series, which is expected to make a killing in videogame stores come October of 2009.
The videogame is expected to weave in and out of the SAW movie plotlines as a collaboration between the filmmakers and the game developers.
Information is scarce on the SAW videogame, though it was mentioned that the game would be running on the Unreal III game engine and that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are likely culprits for distribution of the game.
That being said though, a Wii version of the game would probably rock as well. In any case, we’ll be looking for more info on the game, so you can choose to stick around here or sign up for updates at the teaser site, whoisjigsaw.com.
