The Lord of the Rings Online expands to Russian territories

Publisher Turbine, Inc has just announced that it has created a new partnership with distributor IT Territory. According to the agreement between the two companies, this will authorize IT Territory to  operate and manage the publication of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar MMORPG.

IT Territory president  Igor Matsanyuk had this to say regarding his company’s new agreement with Turbine:

Our vision is to lead the growth of online games in Russia. We believe that The Lord of the Rings Online is the perfect franchise for us to deliver to our audience as part of this strategy. Our partnership with Turbine underscores the tremendous success, attention to detail, and transparency that our operations bring to the best game developers in the world as they seek to enter the massive Russian market.

Shadows of Angmar currently operates within the territories of North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. This latest expansion should hopefully enable the MMO’s denizens to meet up with their fellow gamers over in Eastern Europe. Drop by again in case related updated are announced.
