Homebrew developer wbb dropped QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released the January 30 build for the nifty application MODO. For the uninitiated, this program is actually an ultra simple mod player for the PlayStation Portable.
Those who have been using the program for some time already, you will be happy to know that the MP3-playing function had been given emphasis in this release. Here are the changes provided by wbb:
- Added MP3 support via libmpg123
- If you embed the song lyric in a MP3 file the player will display it, use Up / Down to scroll through it.
- The lyrics has to be in the id3v2 tag USLT (Unsynchronized lyric transcription). Max. 80 lines.
As always, MODO comes with a very handy Readme.txt file that provides users with information regarding installation and usage. Be sure to browse through the documentation first to avoid any problems.
