David Jaffe to keynote GDC 2008’s Game Career Seminar

Looking for your own place under the sun in the diverse world of the video game industry? We’re letting the readers know that God of War developer – and controversial blogger – David Jaffe has been officially confirmed as a keynote speaker at the GDC 2008’s Game Career Seminar.
Jaffe’s talk is titled “From Grunt to ‘God’ to Startup: Career Lessons from the Edge of Game Development,” and will cover the highs and lows of his own career path as example of an aspiring developer’s progression within the industry. As GDC Executive Director Jamil Moledina stated regarding Jaffe’s keynote speech:
By launching two blockbuster franchises and then going indie, Jaffe has a wealth of insights on how to advance your career in the game industry. Given his outspoken views on game design, attendees can expect nothing less than the unvarnished truth behind career development both inside and outside the traditional development landscape.
The Game Career Seminar will take place on Thursday, February 21 from 5:30 ot 6:30 p.m., and Friday, February 22,0 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
